Buenisima la intepretacion d Costumbres
No me parece su mejor album ranchero pero su primer sencillo tiene un sentimiento autentico que pocas pueden provocar en el que escucha. Vale la pena escucharlo . By the way que comentario por cierto mas fuera de lugar el querer comparar la vida personal de Lucero con el de Jenni Rivera que he leido por ahi. NEXT.
Not her best, but is ok.
This is Lucero's second album w/o having the support of a major record label, from what it sounds like a material that was recorded a while ago (hint: her mention of Mijares on the song 'Secreto de Amor'), this album has hits and major misses.
A good hit is that Lucero's voice is better than ever, very clear and full of energy and emotion as her early mariachi records, sadly that is about the only good thing about this album. This album suffers from being very flat, simple and plain. A lot of the songs have very simple and common arrangements and they hardly try to make them their own, something that is necessary when you are recording such popular overplayed cover songs. Sometimes it even feels like you are listening to a live album and not to a studio recording which can be good or bad at the same time. Sadly the album lacks personality and identity, the same way the cover of the album does.
I applaud Lucero for wanting to be more involved on her independent records and wanting to produce her own material, but she clearly still has a long way to go, she needs to pay attention to detail and make sure everything is top notch like her albums used to be back on her top days!
