THERE IS A BETTER REMIX
The song is seriously amazing. M83 is just incredible. BUT these remixes dont really turn this song into anything special. The best remix of this song is done by FIXYN. Check out "Midnight City (FIXYN REMIX)" ...... It will blow your mind. It has B spears and Jay Z in it. AMAZING. Look it up, it is free....
My new favorite!
I heard this song first on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic with Jason Bentley (who was the host of a different program that I used to listen to every night and introduced me to indie music and what will be a lifelong love of musical variety. Thanks, Jason!) I couldn't get it out of my head, and had to hear it again. And again. And again. There are a few songs in my library that become staples for every playlist I ever put together. Midnight City is definitely one of those. The imagery this song conjures in my head every time I hear it makes me want to stop and just enjoy the experience.
Which, incidentally, makes it a terrible song to drive to. ;)
