Album Review

Midnight to Midnight continues the streamlining of The Psychedelic Furs. Unlike the previous Mirror Moves, Midnight to Midnight loses the essential character of The Furs' sound, as the production relies on a sleek, stylish pop production. Although the results don't have much to do with the group's early records, it's an entertaining record, filled with its share of pop thrills, including the single "Heartbreak Beat."

Customer Reviews

Love This Album!

As the review notes, this does not sound like the other Furs albums. Because of this, it was largely overlooked. However, it has some amazing pop hooks such as "Heartbreak Beat", "Shock", "One More Word", "All of the Law" and my favorite, the title track. I was lucky enough to see The Furs on this tour at San Diego State University's Open Air Amphitheatre and was BLOWN AWAY! You really cannot go wrong with these songs so give them a try!

Classic Album

Richard Butler apparently hated this record, as he saw it as the band selling out. I, on the otherhand, have listened religiously to M2M for the past 20 years. Two of my all-time favorite Furs' songs are included here: "Heartbreak Beat" and "Angels Don't Cry". It is perhaps a little over-polished, and some of the songs sound more like recording studio exercises than songs, but overall it's a winner. Aside from the two songs already mentioned, "Midnight to Midnight", "No Release", and "One More Word" are great additions to any Furs fan's library.

YES!!! Finally....

After wearing this "tape" down in high school, it's so great to see one of the best bands EVER on iTunes! I LOVE this music!! I will never get bored of it, eventhough I've been listening to it since the 80s..
