great band, just great
every now and again you come across a new band that just stops you in your tracks and you have to have, fall musically in love with. Happened with jj grey and mofro, zach williams and the reformation, dertybird, the delta saints and the vegabonds to name a few. The Mighty Orq is another to add to the list as they are phenominal. remind me a lot of all bands listed prior as well, so if you like them you will like the mighty orq.
devil at your back starts this gem of an album off with a great rocking blues sound, guitar is blazing hot with great riffs, percussion crisp, vocals fit perfectly. unholy getdown brings the rockin' blues with a bit of swamp to it, soulful, down and dirty, so nice. heaven sent will knock you off your heals, toned down, soulful, beautful. sweet in between has a country blues twang and swampy, dirty, dirty vocals and then blazing blues guitar, just great. that should be enough to wet your appetite. check out the rest on your own. this is a high recommend. The only thing better than listening to an ORQ cd is seeing them live. It's a shame they don't have all the albums available.................. This is one hell of a CD. Jonathan.
