This is SOOOOOO Fun!!!! Best live show!
Ming & Ping has one of the best live shows ever, and this CD makes you want to go see them again and again! The songs are live remixes of songs from their two releases and there are 3 songs from an upcoming release, as well as a couple of really creative cover tunes like Fine Young Cannibals' "She Drives Me Crazy." I already bought the album from their website, mingping.com but I'm so glad they put it on iTunes because people can check out the little previews of the songs and see just how much energy there is at a live show compared to the tracks on their albums (which are also some of the best electro-pop records I've ever heard)... The only negative: I read that this was supposed to be an enhanced CD that included photos and visuals from the live performance, but they decided to release it as an audio only CD. I've been to two of their live shows and I have to say that the shows are as spectacular visually as they are aurally - so i wish they had shared some of those images on the CD. One last thought: If Ming & Ping plays anywhere near you - you NEEEEEED to go see them!!! Even if you need to make an 8 hour road trip, you will have the best time you've had in ages. Two things I consistently hear after a Ming & Ping live show are "That was one of the best parties I've been to in years," and "I drove all the way from [insert far away place city] to see them, so worth it." Ming & Ping has some die-hard fans - and they deserve it. You deserve to have this album in your music collection (even if you've been stealing candy from children and kicking puppies).

i can't stress this enough: ming & ping live are full of energy, tons of energy. if you like MP2 or mingping.com even slightly, then this cd is worth the 9.99. every track is full of deep synth and driving beats. i sampled all of the tracks for a while, skeptical that it would be worth it to buy the whole thing, but now i am definately glad i did, because every track is bursting with life, pop and dance. i only wish i could have been at the rickshaw stop for the show... spicy!!!
