Wonderful
Came across this by surprise. Anything Alison touches always has magic. She personally has more contemporary music taste than most people give her credit for, as she can attest to, live. She admits to being a Def Leppard fan, etc. so it's no surprise she'd cover one of the greatest ballads of the 80s.
Different Approach
When I first had heard that Alison Krauss and John Waite had done a duet I thought this has got disaster written all over it. Then I listened to it and absoloutley love it. It brings the song to a whole new dimension and to a whole new generation of fans. Kudos to both for taking what could have been a catastophe and making it a country-pop crossover gem.
Great Idea!
John Waite collaborating on such an excellent song with Allison Krauss. It's pure magic. Very authentic because John Waite is redoing his own song and Allison has an angel's voice that brings recordings to life. Awesome!
