Good Stuff
Alec Ounsworth has a very unique voice and you really have to develop a taste for it. Once you get that taste, you can't get enough. I first heard some tracks off this album on the NPR Tiny Desk Concert podcast and I was extremely impressed with the emotion and the depth of the lyrics. I think that this is a great album and some standout tracks: are Modern Girl (...With Scissors), Holy, Holy, Holy Moses, and When You've No Eyes. This is a really great album. Really listen too all of the tracks and appreciate it. This is like a folkier version of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. This is their lead singer though. But if you like the first album of CYHSY, you will probably like this.
