Highly Recommend
This is an album I can listen to again and again. It's diverse enough that it doesn't get old. The upbeat/soulful mix is just right. A little country, a little gospel, even a jazzy number! Janine, and her daughter Juliette's vocals are fantastic! The lyrics grab your attention, and the music is very well done. Love the keyboard in "Stay with Me"! I highly recommend.
Mockingbird Hill - Beautiful!
This progressive country album features music and lyrics written and performed by Janine Turner, and her daughter Juliette! Mike McGuire of Shenandoah also performs on some tracks. I highly recommend! "Mockingbird Hill" celebrates all that is Texas country! "Diamonds in the Ebony Sky" reminds us of life's joy even in tough times. "Juliette," is another upbeat number with a gospel feel - fun! "Maggie and Me," - what a tribute to friendship, and dealing with loss. "Coalie Boy," you just have to hear it - one of the best tracks on the album, along with "Mockingbird Hill." And Juliette's talented, soulful performance on "In My Backyard," is reminiscent of Norah Jones! "Sweet Sixteen," "Grandpa JB," and "Stay with Me" round out the album with original, heartfelt lyrics, and hauntingly beautiful music. Would love to see this album get some airtime!

Love it! My favorites are 'Coalie Boy', 'Mockingbird Hill' 'Maggie and Me' and 'Sweet Sixteen'. And of course little Julietts' 'In My Backyard'. Do yourself a favor folks. Get this CD. It's terrific.
