Dolenz Does It Again!

I wonder if this man has any idea how much we dig his talent? Give us more Mick! Get your lullaby CD on ITUNES while you are at it... Very tight reboots of some classic hits here...a must for fans of the Monkees. Thank you sir, very well done!

Dolenz Still Monkees Around

I was pleasantly surprised to see Micky put some new music out even if they are re-recordings of previously released materials. Dolenz voice sounds wonderful at the age of 62. The four songs stay true to the original versions. The only odd element of this collection of songs is Dolenz's decision to record the "Monkees theme." Instead of "Hey, hey we're the Monkees" it's now "Hey, Hey I was a Monkee." That said who could complain as all the songs only cost a total of $4.00.

Best known for his role as the lead singer of the Monkees, Micky Dolenz is also famed as an actor and director. Dolenz was born in Los Angeles to George and Janelle Dolenz, both show business people themselves. By the age of six, Dolenz was already doing screen tests, and by the age of ten, he had landed his first role as Corky on Circus Boy. He toured the country with his elephant "Bimbo" promoting the show, which lasted only three years. During his teenage years, he had seriously begun to develop...
