Album Review
Monsoon Featuring Sheila Chandra presents a blend of pop and Indian music with respectable results. However, some listeners may consider the album too pop, while others may consider the sitar- and tabla-driven songs too Indian. Chandra is one of world music's most popular vocalists and she does have a fine, but not outstanding, voice. The album includes four different versions of the hit "Ever So Lonely." If you're looking for Indian music, this is not the album for you — but if you seek a hybrid Indian-pop release, the album is not bad.

I first heard Sheila Chandra on Link TV and had to find out more about that voice. Wonderful music.
A classic
This is the best album Sheila Chandra ever made. It is soothing, mesmerizing, and blissful. The cover of the Beatles' "Tommorow Never Knows" alone is worth the price of admission, though the whole album is terrific (not one bad lick).
80 beat with indian adds
Great songs, some of which remind me of classic 80's beats with an indian adds.... nice.
