I love Arcade Fire

Congrats on the Grammys AF!!!!!! Two Requests. How about the grammy live version of Ready To Start? For some reason I really love that song live. Also Please sell your arcade Fire unstaged concert!!!!! I will buy it I promise. You guys get nothing less then 5 stars. Fav band ever!

So this is what live music is

I hope those that were up for awards watched this performance and learned that when you pour yourself into your craft... and you play live... you will be rewarded whether it is a statue or millions of fans or self satisfaction. Great performance and too bad it does not feature there encore right after they won the award.

No Comparison... No Competition

45 yrs old and I had never heard of Arcade Fire before catching them on the grammy's. I was mildly impressed and moved on with life. Then I happened onto "Funeral" on Itunes and listened to a few track samples...Hmmm.... Ok I'll buy it I said. Two days and several listens later I was absolutely stunned. The last time I felt anything close was "Unforgettable Fire" by U2 (their best ever). Then I sprung for "Neon Bible" and "Suburbs" and cannot stop listening. Epic.... raw..... original.... profound. I have never heard anything that I like more. Music like this is a gift to those who appreciate the purpose of music. I heard an interview with Chris Martin from Coldplay where he stated that bands like Coldplay are in "competition" with Arcade Fire. I'm sorry Chris but I would much rather have heard you acknowledge that Arcade Fire is in a special place now that no one else can touch. When you produce a masterpiece like "Funeral" then maybe.... In the mean time let's all give them some space and let them keep turning out the best music any of us have heard in the last couple of decades.

A combination of indie rock muscle and theatrical, unapologetic bombast turned Arcade Fire into indie royalty in the early 2000s. Originally comprised of Régine Chassagne, Richard Parry, Tim Kingsbury, and brothers William and Win Butler, the group formed during the summer of 2003, after Win spotted Chassagne singing jazz standards at a Montreal art exhibit. The grandson of famed swing-era bandleader Alvino Rey, Win was quickly charmed by Chassagne's performance, leading the two to launch a songwriting...
