Time to hit the club

I feel it mr. shade!

Nice

Mm.. Booka Shade returns with a more clubby sound (compared to their eclectic last album "The Sun and The Neon Light") and this is definitely good news. I loved the last album but the hints of french house, tech house, and electro are making this cd a definite step in the right direction for these two German producers. By the way, it is two of them, not a single person as other reviewers have suggested.

Worth a listen, but nothing special

I hold Booka Shade to a very high standard because 'Movements' is my favorite electronic album ever, and 'The Sun & The Neon Light' was also an excellent album. I was really expecting more with this album (pun intended). 'Regenerate' and 'Teenage Spaceman' are probably my favorite songs, 'The Craving' is good as well. The 'Donut' EP they released not long ago with M.A.N.D.Y. is so much better than the Interpretation version. The rest of the songs don't do anything for me. I believe that the beauty of Booka Shade is that their music gets better the more you listen to it, so I hold onto hope that I might find something I missed the more I listen to this album.

However, before they were Booka Shade, Arno Merziger and Walter Kammermeier had an early-'90s synth pop duo called Planet Claire, which in the tradition of Underworld and Ministry mutated into something very different...
