Hey guys- It is JSTAUB!!
I love these songs, and if I could be on maybe one, that would be great!! Just let me know, and I love all of the songs!
I can't wait to hear more on Acidplanet.com!! How did you get your music on Itunes?
1. Funny, more different than usual, but cool
2. A great song with David's usual cool voice and uptempo BPM
3. Smooth vocals by Austin- I remember hearing this on AP, one of the album's best!! I would suggest it being at the end of the album, but it is still cool!
4. Got that original cymbal track wth even better vocals, what isn't good here?
5. I could tell that this would have a trance from the name, even if it is an ambient one, with out percussion
6. A symphonic ballad, one of the best on the album, and would be evn better with vocals
7. Another fast track by David and it has great percussion, very eclectic and probably on his David Electric Profile
8. A calm song by Ben, and a great 8th song on an album
9. Haven't heard of Randy, except for now, and he turns out to be very good!
10. A Valentine's day gift to his wife, who I heard was in love with the song!
11. Maybe I will create an Itunes account, I would love to, but with not knowing how could be a problem. Best song to me on the album, with you all pitching in!!
12. Ben definitely reminds me of the group, Hollywood Undead, in this, and this is just... Wow!! I love the electric, distorted guitar sound in every song!!
13. Best plain guitar song in the decade!! I like everyone's music here, and this could be the album of the year, if more people know about you!!
14. A really good last song, a song with great heavy guitars, like the two before it, and the only thing about this album that is wrong, is that maybe Austin should have more than 3 songs. He is a very good artist, and he deserves a lot!
5/5, you guys!! Keep up the music online, and make another album on here!! I will message one of you how to get an album on ITunes soon.
A riveting surprise of well produced original songs of mixed genres
1. "More Cowbell Homage Chant" by Randy Tully, I think that the group must have a wry sense of humor in calling this album "More Cowbell" obviously referring to the SNL skit. A Latin translated Gregorian chant of some of Walken's lines is intensely funny in an inside joke sort of way. Randy Tully must be a a bit of a comic genius to have come up with that one.
2. "American Vampire" by David Andrew is as hard rocking as they come and the lyrics are again steeped in wry humor, "it won't hurt a bit, well maybe a little bit but you'll get used to it", a well produced song with a "bit" of fun in the lyrics.
3. "Wondering Why" by Austin Batterton is as good a progressive indie rock piece as any, if not better. Austin Batterton is a complete unknown but I hope we hear more of him. A well written, played, produced and sung original piece rivaling any well known progressive/alternative rock band. Batterton has a distinctive sound here. I think it will catch on.
4. "Hand in Hand" by David Andrew is a romantic rock piece, with lyrics that mean something, and tell the story of the love between two people. Really nice acoustic guitar work and vocals by David Andrew, and well engineered by Randy Tully who did all of the post production work for the album as well.
5. "Trance Alpha" by Randy Tully is an ambient electronica piece with a twist, blending a classic Rhodes eletric piano, with synth and percussion. Turn down the lights, get into the zen, and groove with this song that has enough change in it to keep your attention. Tully layered the Rhodes, synths, guitar, drums, and percussion in this song. I found myself listening to it several times just to hear the change ups and the futuristic synth lines
6. "Mary May" by Ben Mullins is a sweeping soundtrack like song. You can hear the empathy and love in the notes. Mullins has composed a great score that would do justice to any film, if his work on this album is any indication. If this was written for a particular woman, and I suspect it was she should reel this guy in. Soundtrack Composers should take note of Ben Mullins.
7. "Love Bomb" by David Andrew is a hard head banging grungy rocker . The fact that this whole piece is a solo work is amazing. In fact that can be said for all the contributors of this album wit the exception of the collaboration on "Across the Sea" where all the talent comes together.
8. "Let Her Know" by Ben Mullins is a progressive rock love ballad . Calling all eligible women, check this guy out.. While Ben's vocals are by no means that of a power vocalist the uniqueness of his voice works with the song.
9. "Thermo Fusion Blues" by Randy Tully starts off with some really nice blues slide guitar work and mid way through the song turns into a Floyd like slide country rocker. It definitely makes you go "huh" in a really good way. A really nice mix of genres.
10. "It's All We Need" by David Andrew is a danceable progressive rocker. It is definitely a rockin bit of love. Women will like this song.
11. "Across the Sea" brings Austin Batteron, Ben Mullins, Randy Tully, and David Andrew together on this track. Austin Batterton and Ben Mullins guitars, Randy Tully's lyrics and double time drum playing, as well as David Andrew's emotion filled vocal delivery speaks of the lonliness of being far from home and in harms way. A thinking man or woman's homage to the military troops and their loved ones. However I think you can interpret this song about any fight to overcome the odds and distance. as well.
12. "Standing Strong" by Ben Mullins is a hard rocking piece about good and evil, Mullins let's it all hang out in this power rocker.
13. "Racing Rockets" by Ben Mullins is symphonic synethsizer song in search of an action move. Film producers should check this guy out.
14. "Rock N Roll Heaven" by David Andrew is a rockin good time and a fun listen. David Andrew delievrs some great lyrics, solo guitar playing, and drumming in a original attention getting package.
For less then $10 I am extremely please with the risk I tooks on this album and I hope I hear more from these new talents. I took the time to research these guys a bit on the web and learned that this is an album totally assembled in the Internet cloud, that in itself is amazing to me.
I hope you find this review helpful.
