Alexx Rocks!
I've waited for months for this to come out. She is a true rocker babe. Great lyrics and excellent music. A must have for a good rock collection. My favorite is "Shake Dem Bones", but they're all great! Keep Rockin', Alexx.
Hard to believe this is a debut album
For a young girl, Alexx writes about some pretty complex themes. This is not your typical advil lavigne fluff and Alexx's song Pull It Bullet is proof of that! Calise's hooks and melodies are incredible, she has mad guitar skillz, and her voice is so unique. I listen to this album on my iPod every day!
Alexx Calise's Morning Pill - Crank it Up!
Yes she is gorgeous, but this young lady is not just another pretty face. Alexx Calise has got one powerful set of lungs, a lot to say, and a very distinct way of relaying her message. She challenges musical boundaries and stereotypes with this album - Think of No Doubt crossed with Kelly Clarkson with a dash of Evanescence, and that’s what you’ll be hearing here. “Give It To Me” is a solid opening track dropping a great set of lyrics and an edgy musical beat. Rigorous guitar slaying, delicate keys and fat drum techniques allow her rocker image to shine. Next up Alexx shows her versatility and how she’s not pigeonholed into one genre with “My Song”. This has a rock vibe, yet also contains a pop feel, mainly from Calise's vocal delivery. Kicking vocals and a captivating chorus are truly divine and fun. Some serious guitar shredding and drum pounding brings the rock pounding home. “This Is Me” showcases Alexxs softer side. A very mellow and lofty music set up opens the song. Her vocal range is impeccable and definitely captured on this song. “Pull It (Bullet)” gets awfully wild, rambunctious and chaotic. Heavy guitar and bass play with a raw edgy vocal delivery in a sultry voice makes this one of the hottest tracks on the album. This woman has got some serious, serious talent. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Calise climbing to the top of the charts once she has major label support- she’s that good. Review by Geoff Dellinger
