iTunes Review

This could be the best Mötley Crüe compilation to date. The Deluxe Version comprises 23 tracks, all chronologically sequenced and loaded to the hilt with rarities, remixes and a good grip of live recordings. Mötley Crüe: The Greatest Hits kick-starts with the title-track from their 1981 debut album Too Fast For Love, when they endearingly sounded like a pumped-up bar band from the Sunset Strip, before money, drugs and production would transform them into pop-metal behemoths. With the second track, “Shout At the Devil” from their 1983 sophomore album by the same title, you immediately get to hear the difference in production values and musicianship between the band’s first two albums. Other standouts include “Looks That Kill,” a pure Trans Am ‘n’ cheeseburger metal anthem that’s indicative of the spandex and big hair era, as well as their campy but fun remake of Brownville Station’s “Smokin’ In The Boys Room” and of course their libidinous anthem “Girls, Girls, Girls.” Although 1998’s “Bitter Pill” and Enslaved” are curiously absent, the remix of “Animal In Me” makes up for it, as does a hard hitting live version of “Red Hot.”

are you feelin good!?

great selection they just might want to take one of the new songs out and replace it with live wire

Motley Crue: The Greatest Hits

I think Motley Crue is the best metal band ever created. One of my friends introuduced it to me and now i am telling you that it is probably the best band you have ever heard. Even though I wasnt even alive during the 80s i love it. i am begging you to buy this album! ( it will be the best decision you will ever make)

Good Selection of Hits

Although it is another greatest hits package, this one replaces the previous "Greatest Hits", and Red, White, and Crue is out of print. So essentially, this is the only Motley Crue greatest hits cd out in stores right now. Great pick of songs. Check out the Animal in Me Remix!

Mötley Crüe were one of the most influential hair metal bands of the '80s, boasting a striking visual presence and hedonistic reputation rivaled only by Guns N' Roses. By combining Alice Cooper's shock rock with the bluesy, metallic stomp of the New York Dolls and Aerosmith, they helped establish hair metal as a commercial genre, sending their first five albums to platinum status in the process. Such success was at least partially due to Mötley Crüe's reputation as a riotous pack of rabble-rousers,...
