Great album!
Shifrin is one of the greatest Clarinetists of all time and this album is no exception. Gorgeous sound and musicality. I played the Robert Marcellus Scotia Festival with him back in 1988 and got to hear him perform the Brahms Trio live. Was a treat.
Bravo
This is a stellar album all around althouh I'm a bit puzzled that Shifrin chose to re-record these pieces. His earlier efforts with other groups are equally as fulfilling.
