Ms. Kelly - Diva Deluxe is the third incarnation of an album that Kelly Rowland has been revamping and reordering since 2004. The first version was shelved for having “too many midtempos and ballads.” A satisfactory Ms. Kelly was released to the public in 2006, but following its lackluster reception, Rowland returned to the studio to revise the tracklist and record several new songs. This seven-track digital album contains her favorite songs from the recent sessions, and even in seven songs it becomes clear that Rowland is trying hard to please a diverse audience. “Comeback” and “Like This” are given heavy club remixes that erase most of what was distinctive about the 2006 originals, although they do satisfy Rowland’s need to get the crowd moving. On the other hand, “Broken” is a piano ballad that recalls Rowland’s hero Whitney Houston, while “Unity” could almost pass for the Nashville drama of Trisha Yearwood. “Try Again” and “No Man No Cry” stand out — Rowland’s voice is at its strongest on these yearning breakup songs.

Kelly's Diva Deluxe is a wonderful add on to Ms. Kelly. These songs (especially the ballads) are heartfelt and vocally amazing! Kelly never ceases to amaze me with her versatility. "No Man No Cry" is my favorite. Her delivery of this song is outstanding. Anyone that's been in her particular situation can feel/hear her pain as well as strength on this song. She truly pours her heart out and sings the hell out of it. It's been on repeat since I first downloaded it. Another great track is "Unity" as well as "Love Again". Kelly shines on these ballads and proves she's not the same woman we knew from DC. Of course "Daylight" is a fun breezy track with the delightful rap from Travis McCoy. The Redline Remix of "Like This" is hot! The "Comeback" Karmatronic remix could've utilized more of Kelly's vocals I feel...but it's still good. Check out Karmatronic's remix of "Daylight" on itunes, it's hot! If you are a Kelly Rowland fan this is a must have collection. If you're new to Kelly's music download "No Man No Cry" and "Love" from Ms. Kelly and I swear you'll fall in love with her. Keep the music coming Kelly. I think the next album should be a dance album. Her vocals work flawlessly on electronica beats. The "Work" remixes are amazing.
Ms.Kelly Diva Deluxe- the title speaks for itself
For $5.99, c'mon on now, this is definitely worth your money. If you already copped the Ms.Kelly album then you'll be very pleased to have these seven songs to add with it. From beginning to end you get a variety of songs. Daylight is such a feel good song and why not add some more club mixes with the Comeback and the Like This remix. Love Again and Unity are two beautiful, heartfelt ballads. No Man No Cry is definitely been on repeat for me since it leaked on the internet. It's a mid-uptempo song, with catchy and sassy lyrics and strong vocals by Kelly. And of course, can't forget about Broken. If this were to be the next single I definitely recommend it. Stargate produces a different sound on this song which sets it apart from the typical acoustic guitar sound you usually hear from them. Kelly's vocals are refreshing and the melodies flow nicely over the track as well. Kelly provides the goods with this EP and releasing it earlier on iTunes for the fans just makes it even better!

Yes! No Man No Cry is my jam! And, thanx for the remixes! Ms. Kelly definitely went for the soul, 'look here, i CAN sing' approach this time around. These ballads worth the listen!
