Although they released the little-heard EP Work Hard in 2007, Showbiz & AG haven't dropped an official full-length album since 1995's Goodfellas. Despite the long breaks between projects, they remain one of hip-hop's most respected duos, thanks mostly to their landmark debut, Runaway Slave, and an extensive catalog of work both within and outside of the Diggin in the Crates crew. Hot on the heels of their excellent Preloaded mixtape, they hit us with Mugshot Music: 16 tracks of grown-man music, displaying Show's neck-bending, mid-tempo beatscapes and AG's always on-point, super-visual lyricism. Guest features come from OC, the late Party Arty, and A Bless (of Natural Elements), as well as singers Jeffrey Nortey and Frank V. Though the BPMs are slower and the R&B choruses more frequent, this is still high-grade stuff from two of the Boogie Down's finest.
