Customer Reviews
Great!!
I've come to appreciate Muhly's works - he's very talented!!
Stunning
Deeply rewarding. The title piece for electric violin is especially haunting. This young composer deepens and expands his reach with each new work. Repeated listenings reward the patient and attentive.
Excellence
Nico Muhly is an exciting, quirky, and relevant young composer who gives young musicians such as myself and my colleagues hope for the survival, and in fact growth, of classical music in an ever-modernizing society. This album explores soundscapes ranging from peaceful intimacy to reckless passion, managing to wander nearly everywhere in between along the way. Aurora's playing is immaculate, showcasing a talent and prowess beyond the youthful ensemble's years.
