Good music - poor recording quality

I have always enjoyed Kerry Muzzey's music, including this album. This album, as provided by iTunes, contains static playback when single piano notes are played. Thinking it was my computer or speakers, I validated this is a problem when played back via my iPod and iPhone.

Purty Good

These all sound really good. I've got a few of him already. The one I bought from this album was Metastasis, Cure (w/ Choir). This song is so good! It is really inspirational and heartfelt. The other ones are good too, but I'd go with Metastasis. Starts out slow tempo and maintains it throughout, but it gets louder, demanding your attention. It's amazing! This guy is truly talented, though I wonder why he would name it almost horror movie-ish? Most of the songs don't sound like from a horror film. More drama/inspirational. But still very good.

Full-album purchase is a no-brainer. Outstanding stuff.

If you're a fan of either the epica-style music that Muzzey has done in the past, or the quieter/more intimate cues he's done, this definitely contains both of those genres, but with a twist. This stuff is *DARK* -- as you can prolly tell by the song titles. But it feels like every song (they don't have words, maybe I should call them "pieces"?) is amped up at a more visceral level. For example, "Evisceration" is a really powerful piece of music that starts off slow, and then halfway through it goes into full-on Epica mode, but it's Epica with an intensity behind it that you don't often hear in other epica-type or videogame-type music. The music from this album that most resonated with me, though, is the quieter more beautiful stuff, most especially: Metastasis,Cure - We Found Your Boy - Missing - Sting of Loss. "Metastasis, Cure" has this climax in it that's so guttural and moving that it's almost spiritual. And the other pieces I mentioned are great examples of music creating an actual physical ache, they're so sad. Same with the last few tracks like "303." But on the opposite end you have some really strong and proud and moving pieces like "I Am Alive" and "Long Road Home." One last thing I noticed, which is what has caused me to keep this cd on a constant loop for the last few days, is that it all fits together like a story, and I like when music intrigues my brain as much as it intrigues my ears. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. I am officially the new president of the muzzey fanclub.
