Incredible modern violin works
This CD consists entirely of works by C. P. First, one of the greatest composers of our time, performed by Davis Brooks, a superlative violinist and one of First's leading interpreters. I cannot imagine a better introduction to either of these first-rate musicians, as everything - from the selection of pieces to the quality of the recording - meets or exceeds that of any other recording of modern music I've heard. Unequivocally recommended.
