Amazing Album
I bought this album for after hearing the band on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic. Originally I was hooked on "Eve, the Apple of My Eye" but quickly also discovered "Snakes and Snakes" and "I'll See Your Heart and Raise You Mine", which is an absolutely addictive ballad in the style of Rufus Wainwright or Five for Fighting. The band has a second album that's not out here in the US yet. Hopefully it will come out soon. .

I like this record and band, but I do have a little problem. Some were not written by Bell X1, they were really written by Damien Rice when he was in the band in the 90's (then called Juniper). Tongue is one of them, also the most popular Eve, which was originally titled 'Never' and then Bell X1 changed the lyrics. They also have 2 more CD's, Flock (their most recent) and "Neither am I". The latter also features some songs written by Damien, Volcano being the most popular and on Damien's O album. But Damien didn't write all the songs, and this is a good album regardless. Flock,, which is now available on Itunes (and the US) is their best work I think and most recent, and any fan should check that out. That one is clearly the Post Damien Rice Cd with great original material. I can't believe "Eve' has not made it in American Radio. Great song -also "Ill see your heart and raise u mine". my 2 favorites. It's a shame they haven't hit it big in the U.S, with bands like Snow patrol and Keane having success. Bell X1 is better. Buy this
Bell X1
this is one of the best bands i have ever heard. I heard it when i was watchin the oc(best sho eva). 'Eve' is one of the most well written songs i have ever heard, and i thank God that i watch the oc or i would have never come across this band. Some other songs on the album that i would reccomend are alphabet soup, in every sunflower, and i'll see your heart and ill raise you mine. All the other songs are pretty good too, but those are my faves
