I remember hearing the title track FOOD OF LOVE in the fall of 2006; it captured my heart! The honest lyrics,and the soulful but not"extra" soul brother singing about what MUSIC; REAL MUSIC means to him, became an anthem.It's 2009 and the album is here! Simply listen to David Mensah,and you will simply hear old school REAL MUSIC, that is fresh,urbane,honest,joyful, and sensual. I saw him perform live in New York; the man lives every note he sings and he lets you in, to feel the joy in his soul while sharing his many gifts! This whole album is DELICIOUS!
He has such a great, talented, voice that pierces through to my soul.
My favs so far are "food of love", "love in the morning", "fly me to the moon"....even though this whole album is great. I am contining to spread his music. Great music is meant to be shared. And this is definately more than great!
