"Best of" Pointless in this case

Okay, Daft Punk is great. But making a "Best Of" is pointless, because there can't BE a best of, because they just made TOO MANY GOOD SONGS! The rollin' beats of "Around the World" connect beautifully with the goregeous redundancy of "Human After All" and the replay value of "Musique" and "Harder Better Faster Stronger" fit in like your mother's cooking when you need a cheer up, but Ian Pooley's "Chord Memory" remix just doesn't feel... Daft Punk. Scott Grooves' Mothership Reconnection Feat. Parliament/Funkadelic is quite good, and its scratchy voice scrambler and catchy beat make a worthy addition to any Daft Punk fan's collection. The bottom line? A good shot at a "Best Of" but I'd reccomend buying Daft Punk's other albums before I'd buy this one.

A little bit of Everything

Sure they could never make a best of with all of their great songs. But what's great is that you can kind of see the versatility between underground types of music and the mainstream version of disco/techno/remix and put their own spin on it. I loved this album when it came out and found myself listening to almost every single track( a good of sign of a good album). They are just as prominant in the studio if not more outgoing live. They always take a new spin on things. Great price for a large audience of listeners. What a lot of people who listen to pop may not like is the repetitiveness. But the whole point of it is to make a groove. yeah not for everybody, but a strong case for music for almost anyone. These guys are amazing house artists.

In similar company with new-school French progressive dance artists such as Motorbass, Air, Cassius, and Dimitri from Paris, Parisian duo Daft Punk quickly rose to acclaim by adapting a love for first-wave acid house and techno to their younger roots in pop, indie rock, and hip-hop. The combined talents of DJs Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, the pair's first projects together included Darling, a voiceless indie cover band; their current recording name derives from a review in U.K....
