Indescribable Excellence
Mute Math is by far and away the best indie band I have ever know. They have a completely new and addicting sound to them, and their concerts our flat out amazing. They use a lot of synths in their music along with some original homemade instuments. Their drummer Darren King is unlike any other drummer. He doesnt use any plain or boring stuff like most guys now days, but is an off the hook amzing guy who knows how to crank a beat and do it with style. He makes it seem so simple and it all blends in with Mute Maths great synths and vocals. Also Mute Math plays with more energy and soul then ANY other band, this is what makes their concerts such an awesome show. I could ramble on forever but I dont need to cuz you can listen for youself. So get the album before your friends, because Mute Math is gonna be the biggest band of the generation!
As well it should be....5 Stars.
To the contemplative listener: Mute Math is my favorite band. I have seen them live 4 times, but it only took 1 song to get me hooked. Listen for yourself. My personal favorites are Noticed, Picture, Chaos(both the album and live versions), Control, Plan B, and the live version of Break the Same. I waited for a year-and-a-half for this album to come out, and I'll admit, I was skeptical, but it was well worth the wait. This album is amazing; definitely in my Top 10. If you get a chance to see one of their concerts, don't miss the opportunity. They have an unprecedented live energy that cannnot accurately be explained, only witnessed in person. I can say with confidence, that Mute Math won't let you down, because every show is different. Enjoy. To the Band: I don't know that you'll ever read this stuff, but.....Well done, sirs. Rock On.
Are we watching a new dawn of originality?
Saw these guys in Denver at Vans Warped tour over the summer. Forget their performance! The _sound check_ was amazing. Then they started their set. Thank you. Finally a band that was bringing a new energy and original approach to their music. I bought their CD and met the band. These guys are pros: humble, artistic, and driven. I will admit. I am an "old dude." That being said, this was the ONLY band at the Warped Tour that was worth seeing. The CD is well produced and orchestrated. Each number stands on its own, but the CD as a whole, defines a total work. So many bands today are trying to combine elements of hardcore (punk), pop, and metal...and producing disappointing results. Enter Mute Math: a band creating a new sound, putting on a good show, and producing a product worth buying. Feed your iPod...and your brain...with a new band that is worth listening to.
