Solid Downtempo Action
Mutiny Sunshine strikes me as a wonderful combination of Boards of Canada, Mum, and The Album Leaf. There is a certain alien quality that lies just beneath the surface of the record. That's due, perhaps, to the recording of natural instruments playing derivative synthesized music. Versus the Above is an exceptional track; all are solid. Look forward to hearing more from them.
Good stuff
Talkdemonic is a nice break from monotonous acoustic tunage. The heavy percussion and synth makes the viola work perfectly in our modern and all too often pop-fest of music. If you like this band also see composer Mark Mothersbaugh and Black Moth Super Rainbow. Both are adequate music palette cleansers.
