Feel this...
Luke Dick takes all the neccessary elements of emotion and weaves them into song. He evokes waves of passion and pain but soothes you with sweet melodies and beautifully arranged harmonies. Mixed emotions will have you stirring your hips one moment and clenching your heart the next. Luke Dick pours talent.
For the love of it.
The thing that makes this guy special to me is that he pursues his music for the love of it. Not that he'd run from it if fame and fortune came calling, but I think he has enough sense to keep the job(s) that allow him to be an aritist free of the constraints of a recording contract. Thus he presents music not designed by committee. I'm too old for the pop served up on top 40 radio and I have a hard time being interested in the current crop of country popsters. I think "refreshing" is an appropriate word to sum up this collection. You got ears- give it a listen.
Soulful
This album immediately spoke to my soul. His voice and lyrics are amazing. I'll be listening to this album repeatedly.
