Racing To People And Things

Andrew McMahon displays his ability to craft a catchy hook and ability to relate emotionally with his audience in My Racing Thoughts. His ability to combine irony, wit, and wordplay, while not loosing substance in a song are traits that shine through with this track. His intricate piano tracking supported by his supporting cast give listeners a small glimpse into what People and Things will be like, and I, for one, cannot wait.

Andrew is at it again.

Since the early days of Something Corporate, Andrew McMahon has been able to churn out pop/rock songs that get stuck in your head for days, and this song is no different. If "My Racing Thoughts," the first single off the new album "People and Things," is any indication of how the new album will sound, I know I won’t be disappointed.

Brilliant.

As a huge Jack's Mannequin/Andrew McMahon fan, I'm so happy that this is the first single. I recently went to a JM concert, where they performed this and another new song ("Amy, I"). Both songs blew my mind. I have officially pre-ordered the new album. If you are a Jack's Mannequin fan, this song does NOT let you down. The lyrics are brilliant. The music is brilliant. The entire song is brilliant. I'm so glad they've done it again, and I can't wait to hear the rest of the album. :)
