Album Review
We have here a collection of mainly traditionally based gospel songs sung by the legendary ex-Caravan lead Albertina Walker, recorded in Franklin and Nashville, TN, with the soloist's own choir. It's the "Nashville" of the West Point Missionary Baptist Church, supported and overdubbed by a full rhythm section plus horns on occasions. Walker can still belt it out with the best of them and does an impressive job on "He Answered Me" (with her own overdubs) and "Give Your Life to Jesus."
