Pure Country
Love Jamey, its a shame more singles wernt released off his last album.Wish more true honky tonk country music was on the radio. Chesney and Mcgraw Need to get off country radio as well as the majority of pop country acts thats grown like milkweeds in spring.You too, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift , Faith Hill, Keith Urban,and the rest of you wanna be's. You know who you are. Now you boys go get a tape of Jason Boland And the Stragglers or Kevin Fowler and Enjoy!!!!
Throwback to classic country sound
In the hands of another singer, this would be a fairly ordinary song: the lyrics aren't anything new, but the ache and the Waylon Jennings-like quality of Jamey's voice make for a heartfelt, passionate tale. If you like your country to be a little more on the heartache-and-broke-and-down-on-one's-luck side, this is the song for you.
Risk and Reward (Great Song)
It's very risky to make a song like this. Only Jamey Johnson can pull it off. It's almost impossible to not be a fan of his. Sometimes you convince yourself that you're going to like a certain singer for so many reason and you'll bs how good they are and so on. But the first time I listened to songs off of That Lonesome Song, I need I was listening to something different and sincere. Very good country, today's Waylon Jennings. And that's a huge name to be compared to. He can handle it. Because he doesn't try and be Waylon, he tries to be Jamey and does a damn good job at it.
