A Must Have
It's like Lee Fields himself made sweet tender love to my eardrums.
The man has soul, pain, joy, style, and shares it on every track. Definitely a "Best of 2009" album.
My World
Excellent album. If youre a fan of
Sharon Jones & The
Dap Kings...El Michaels
Affair...Menahan Street Band....Budos Band...and all the other collaborative bands/groups out of that Daptones records and Truth and Soul clique, then this album is for you. Raw funk and soul in the same vein - or maybe even a smoothed out version of James Brown and the JB's. I'm looking forward to more releases from
Lee Fields and The Expressions.
