Finally!
Finally, iTunes has released an album composed by Yasunori Mitsuda. Of all video game soundtracks, Xenogears is my favorite. Each song brings a memory from certain events from the game. I hope iTunes will release Creid and Xenogears Original Soundtrack. Also, bring Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Soma Bringer.
A Gamer's Dream Comes True At Last
And I'm sure everyone that has had the chance to play this awesome game will agree. I have the orignal soundtrack and I listen to it constantly.
Xenogears is a wonderful game and I recommend it that everyone should play if they should come across it.
The story is grand and full of symbolic meaning. The character art is stunning, and the cut scenes are wonderful.
And the music that accompines this great piece of work is outstanding and well composed by none other, Yasunori Mitsuda.
I knew him first through this game before his earlier work Chrono Trigger. He has worked hard to bring such beautiful music to life, to captivate the gamers as they play the games.
If Itunes would just bring in his original soundtrack to the game, (and his earlier works) I'm sure they won't be disappointed by sales.
This is truely a soundtrack that you'll defiantly want in your game soundtrack library.
Speaking of which, I feel Itune should carry the Parasite Eve soundtrack composed by Yoko Shimomura. Now there is some more beautiful and delicately made music there!
An excellent orchestral rendition of Xenogears' music
It's a shame that orchestral versions weren't made of every piece in the game, but many of my favorite pieces were selected so I'm happy. Yasunori Mitsuda is a musical genius, so I'm happy that he's finally decided to release some of his music on iTunes (and fairly priced, I might add). Now if only there were more excellent modern games suitable for his work....
