Blue Cheer?
by AnotherOldHippieNot only do I remember them, I owned the 45! You know, those vinyl things with the big hole in the middle? Pretty decent collection -- hey, ya can't put all of an era's best in one mix, can ya? But comments to make it available as an album are right on.
60's Music
by chuck210I'll buy this as soon as I can get it as an album. That's right $38 is just too much to pay for all these together. Too bad!!!!
Good collection, but missing lots of definitive songs.
by theperI guess it is a licensing thing, which is typical of many 60s compilations. As for the Beatles, iTunes can't even carry them yet (no one can), and it is not iTunes that issues this album anyway, they only carry it. Beatles materials is exclusive, as is the Rolling Stones. However, as far as stereo versions go, I am disappointed that Incense and Peppermints is not. The song 98.6 is and that is original (there are re-recordings). All in all an average collection, but a good collection. It's just that it ignores what one reviewer mentions as the turbulent character of the 60s (except for Eve of Destruction).
