A Beautiful Voice

This is rather embarrassing, but the only reason I just bought this album on iTunes (besides the fact that the music is incredible) is because I couldn't find a torrent. But in retrospect, I am very, very glad I did. It makes it more personal to me, more valid. Stealing something so precious as this is tantamount to denial of the artists' legitimacy. But this is definitely legit stuff.
This is a very powerful record, sonically lush and emotionally wrenching, in the same alley and definitely as good as Bon Iver's "For Emma" and The Antlers' "Hospice". I have listened to a LOT of indie/emotionful/folky/etc. music in that vein, and this ranks right up there. Frankly I don't understand why it's still pretty much underground, while Fleet Foxes are drawing festival crowds... come on, bloggers, pick it up!
Oh, and also, as the son of an Iranian immigrant, I think it's über-sweet to hear this coming from an Iranian.
Anyway, all things aside, this record is way worth the $9 I shelled out. I only wish I had the gift of words required to describe and praise art on this level.
Thank you, Sara.
This is now one of my top all time albums, not exaggerating.

Sara is one of the truly rare musicians who join elementally necessary song writing with raw-talent-vocal performance. To those qualities this album adds artful and prodigious recording and mixing. I wouldn't trade this album for any other. "Heart to Fool" in particular is a classicly addictive song that has found hours of life through my speakers.
perfection

I dont know where this woman came from but she is absolute perfection. From the first time i heard her songs, i havent been able to get them out of my head and when left without them, they relentlessly creep back into thought. The tone, the melody, the sweetness, the darkness, the illusion and the obvious... this music gets better with time. Cant wait to see where Sara goes from here <3
