Album Review
David Bowie broke away from the mainstream pop of Tonight with 1987's Never Let Me Down, turning out a jumbled mix of loud guitar rockers and art rock experiments like the failed "Glass Spider." While it's not as consistent as Tonight, it's far more interesting, with the John Lennon homage of the title track being one of his most underrated songs.

Better than I remember
by Jerminator4I popped this one in the player today and was pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind that this is from 1987, not exactly the "best music era" and a lot of stars were trying to stay relevent in the MTV era, so they "popped out" a wee bit too much. In that contaext, this seems like a classic.
Too often overlooked, even by Bowie himself
by Big MacMikeI don't know why this albumn often gets panned. It's one of my favorites. Perhaps I'm biased because the Glass Spider tour (for this albumn) was my favorite of all his concerts I'd attended. But, the blend of music styles and lyrics and feeling on this albumn is very memorable and compelling. "Never Let Me Down" is one of my favorite Bowie tracks. I read somewhere that Bowie himself said this was one of his least favorite albumns he'd done. However, if you're a Bowie fan, I think you'll really enjoy it. Definately worth a listen!
