LOVE this song and Ed Hale's voice. In these times where lyrics seem to be shallow, boring and redundant, here is a song with very deep and moving lyrics and a voice to match it. Ed Hale reaches out and touches the listener with a soulful and capturing voice. And the fact that part of the proceeds from the sale of this single go to the Red Cross, is even a bigger insentive to buy this song. I highly recommend it!

Loved the guitar, lyrics, and voice! His work vaguely reminds me of Iron and Wine whom I love. Check out his other work too, it's great!

Singer/songwriter Ed Hale learned to play the guitar at an early age, writing protest songs as a teenager. Inspired by R.E.M. and the Kinks, he started the group Broken Spectacles with his high school friends. They had a short-lived but fruitful career in the late 80's/early 90's, eventually splitting up amicably in 1994. By 1996, Hale had enough solo material to release a live disc, Acoustic in New York.
