NADAS!

I first heard this group when they played in Fort Collins, CO, my old hometown, back in '98. They played at CSU and it was such a change of pace music that I was used to that they sold me by the second half. I bought this album there and still love it 11 years later. They have def. grown over the past decade, but their music still continues to amaze me. If you ever have a rough day, put this in the car deck and go for a drive, out of town, some back country road or curvey moutain road and see the transformation in yourself. Congrats to the Nadas on a great 10 years!

The greatest band you've never heard of!

New Start is a great album from Des Moines' own, The Nadas. I saw the nadas for the first time in september 07' when they came to Minnesota State University in Mankato to play a show in the performing arts center, i was pretty impressed to say the least, and bought this album from their merchandise stand after the show let out. Dancing lucinda is a top notch song that is better than 99% of anything you will ever hear on the radio today. The last word is beautiful, were i'm going, daisy and white are all songs that are in my personal top 50 favorite songs by ANY artist. These guys can downright play, and if they ever come to a town near you, i would hiighly suggest trying out The Nadas. You WILL NOT be disappointed!

Strong CD

Again, the Nadas do an excellent job with this CD. Though not quite as broad as some of their later works (Listen through the Static, Transciever, Ghosts Inside These Halls) this CD puts up a fight and is definitely better than anything you'll hear on the radio. The one exception is Where I'm Going, which is absolutely an amazing song, though Ghost and of course Dancing Lucinda (arguably the Nadas' best song yet) are definitely up there. Not the best Nadas CD, but if you liked their other CDs you'll like this one too.
