Customer Reviews

One of their best!

I was really surprised to see that nobody else had written a review for this album. I've followed Erasure from their very beginning and I can say without question that this was one of their best, hands down. At times, some of Erasure's albums can seem to have been slapped together too quickly; not this one. You can feel the emotion in each of the songs, from joy to laughter and sometimes pain. My personal favorite on the album is "I Bet You're Mad At Me". Although the lyrics are pretty simple, Andy Bell sings it was a great deal of heart that really comes through in the music. This was an overall great effort by Erasure.

Still Have What It Takes

I still have "Let's Take One More Rocket..." in regular rotation on my ipod. That seems to be the theme with a lot of Erasure's songs over the years. Damn, they still got it.

Erasure=Awesome

This is a great album-very underrated.... Just saw Erasure on Sept. 23, 2011 and Andy sang "Breathe"..... Left me breathless and reminded me how great this album really is. It also reminded me of why I fell in love with them in the beginning with Wonderland, and why I still love them to this day... "I Bet You're Mad At Me" reminds me of "She Won't Be Home" from Crackers International, one of my all time favorites. Amazing album and band. By the way, Andy still has it-the show was freakin' amazing!!!!

Following the disbandment of the short-lived synth pop group Yazoo, former Depeche Mode member Vince Clarke formed Erasure in 1985 with singer Andy Bell. Like Yaz and Depeche Mode, Erasure were a synth-based group, but they had stronger dance inclinations, as well as a sharper, more accessible sense of pop songcraft, than either of Clarke's previous bands. Furthermore, Erasure had the flamboyantly eccentric Andy Bell — one of the first openly gay performers in pop music — as their focal...
