The Next Big Thing
Dave Patten is unbelievable. His music is catchy, his beats are driving, and his style is unique. I've always liked his stuff, at least what i'd heard of it, and his cover songs all over youtube are what hooked me first but this new music is going in a completely different direction that's relevant and reminiscent of current chart-toppers but consistently fresh and refreshing to say the least. And it just has this amazing quality to it that keeps me playing it no matter how many times i listen to it. it's just perpetually appealing. it's a purchase that won't go stale and i recommend it to all of you who like music ranging from pop to hip-hop to alternative even singer/songwriter. a multi-genre masterpiece that blends the best of the rest. enjoy!!
Catchy, energetic, quick-htting tracks
Dave Patten's latest is a group of hook-driven, well-recorded, and immediately appealing songs. His voice is strong and on-point, as usual, but also prevalent are his latest beats and instrumental tracks, with thumping drums and bass, as well as catchy synth melodies. Patten also takes the listener through a variety of pop styles: "Back to School" is a hands-in-the-air college anthem, while "Fast" enters a more classic, sample-driven hip-hop arena. Dave also shows a slower but no less intense side with "Come Home With Me," and combines his instrumental side with the electronic in the melodic "Whispering." Take a listen to No Direction, and it will become clear that Dave Patten is not drifting with uncertainty, looking for a style, as the title might seem to suggest. Rather, he has found his niche, honed in on it, and simultaneously incorporated his multi-genre influences into a solid album. 5 stars.
Love Dave's work
I've loved all of Dave's work, even from the beginning. I've followed him since he begun and I've found all of his stuff catchy and find myself listening to it over and over again. His work has continually gotten better over time and I'm sure will continue as he progresses. I look forward to his future works, as for now I'll enjoy all he's brought to the table so far :)
