iTunes Review
Named after a PJ Harvey album and featuring Leisha Hailey (who was cast as Alice Pieszecki on Showtime’s The L Word) and Camilla Grey (who performed with the notable Mellowdrone), Uh Huh Her is a refreshing synth duo with a true gift for writing catchy tunes that bounce around the dance floor. The sonic sheen of the opener, “Marstorm,” creates genuine enthusiasm that’s hard to ignore, but it’s the vocals’ genuine warmth that makes the song stick. It’s like that throughout Nocturnes, which isn’t nearly as dark and foreboding as its title suggests; these are relatively bright and perky tracks. “Another Case,” “Disdain,” and “Same High” pulse with that modern-yet-‘80s groove that permeates pop fashion in 2011. Even “Darkness Is” cruises with a weightless delight. It’s left to the affecting “Time Stands Still,” the ghostly “Human Nature,” the shimmery, girl-group-style “Criminal,” and the near-industrial and chilling “Debris” to close in on the night.

Fantastic album!
It's rare that I buy the entire album from an artist, but this one is a must. Love it!
The right time for this album
I don't know if it's just them getting more in tune with who they are as musicians. But this record reflects everything you'd ever want from these two girls. Every note perfectly represents the feelings they are trying to convey, and every lyric paints the most beautiful picture. I'm glad I've been lucky enough to know about this band for as long as they've been around- and I hope to know them for much, much longer.
Exceptional
I happened upon Uh Huh Her at my local hangout, The Social in Orlando a few years ago. I didn't know much about them, or even the music they played. But by the end of the show, I was a fan. The music compared to earlier releases, has grown substantially, and you can feel the 70's rock infused with 80's synth pop. It's infectious. Many acts have tried to capture the rawness of true 80's synth, but where they have failed UHH shines. If the melodies and progressions do not get you, surely the lyrics will. The only thing missing from this purchase is a digital booklet, I would love to know who helped produce and arrange. But, that just means I can get a physical copy too. Awesome work. Will be on repeat.
