Surprisingly Fun
by Slunklord57When I came to hear of Bumblefoot, I had heard his earlier stuff, which was abound with insanity and quirky riffs. It all kind of felt wierd and that it didn't belong. But when I came to this album, it was a big breath of fresh air. Not because it was more pop-sounding, but because Bumblefoot has managed to breathe life into a genre I thought was pretty much wasted. He uses his own craziness to throw in very well done two-handed tapping riffs that bust up what would otherwise have been above-average tracks. Songs like 'Normal' and 'Turn Around' are fun and funny to listen to. 'Real' busts out Ron's craziest ideas with probably one of the craziest unique riffs in the song, which he speeds up to and incredible speed. The only song I'm dissapointed about it 'Thank You' because in reality it's just a 4 minute song and the rest is the sound of a bass note held. But other than that, this album has great replay value and is highly enjoyable. Trust me, it's worth buying.

by brittmorganNot only is this album melodically and technically tremendous, the meaning behind is genius. Beginning with catchy Normal and moving onto fast-paced Real, the album has a strong start that grabs the listener's attention and holds it for the well-balanced middle, featuring Pretty Ugly (which is filled with phrases that make you giggle), Breaking, and More, to conclude with a satisfying Shadow, a reprise of Normal with a magnificent solo and the core message resounding with the finall guitar licks, and a song that thanks the listener for...listening. Bumblefoot does not disappoint followers. This album is unique in message, style, and in lyrics.
