The music on Natasha Bedingfield’s third album, Pocketful of Sunshine, falls exactly at the place where adult-contemporary rock and club music meet. “Pocketful of Sunshine” and “Angel” are reminiscent of Kelly Clarkson, were she more influenced by R&B than rock ’n’ roll. While rock theatrics have helped propel Bedingfield to the upper echelon of the pop charts, the best songs on Pocketful of Sunshine dig deeper into her soul influences. “Who Knows?” “Happy” and “Pirate Bones” are smart, subtly funky tracks that would be more at home next to Joss Stone than they would Avril Lavigne. In the end, it is Bedingfield’s ingratiating hooks that will attract the most fans. “Love Like This” and “Put Your Arms Around Me” are as catchy as Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” and Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body,” and with the help of like-minded artists like Maroon 5’s Adam Levine (who appears in a duet on “Say It Again”) Bedingfield’s music should have no trouble finding its way out of the club and onto the sunny day radio playlists of pop fans everywhere.

Put Your Arms Around Me: 4/5 A cute song that makes me want swirl around in a summer dress in a field of daisies. Yes, cheesy, but it's that sweet and honest.
Pocketful of Sunshine: 2/5 Love the title, not the creepy overprocessed voice though. Nice try, but not my favorite.
Happy: 5/5 I love this song. Quite uplifting actually.
Love Like This (feat. Sean K): 5/5 Although I like the version better without Sean Kingston this song is wonderful on so many levels.
Piece of Your Heart: 3/5 This song is a little confusing to me. Almost like the words don't go with the song right.
Soulmate: 5/5 Love this song- best slow song on the entire CD
Say It Again: 4/5 I like it, but for some reason it doesnt stick in my head quite like the others.
Angel: 2/5 My least favorite song on the track- I absolutely detest this one.
Backyard: 3/5 I don't understand where she is going with this track- A bit creepy if you ask me.
Freckles: 5/5 Love it! Enough said.
Who Knows?: 2/5 Who knows why she wrote this song? 2nd least favorite on the CD.
Pirate Bones: 3/5 Not my favorite, the title is a bit off for me. Parts of it sound like "independence" from her last track, but not nearly as good.
Not Givin' Up: 5/5 GREAT CLUB SONG- I love this one :]
Unwritten (stripped acoustic version): 3/5 Thought I would love this, it's ok but slightly disappointing

Natasha Bedingfield is one of my favorite artists and I am absolutely delighted that she has come out with some new material! She has a beautiful voice, and always delivers material that was meant for success instantly. This is indeed a fantastic album, and was well worth the wait. Let’s take a closer look!
Put Your Arms Around Me- Very nice start to the album, a nice, feel good song! 4/5
Pocketful of Sunshine- LOVE this song. It’s catchy, fun to listen to, and good lyrics. Rumored to be the second single. 5/5
Happy- This song makes me feel happy! It’s great for when you’ve had a bad day, and you just need some cheering up! 5/5
Love Like This- The first single, and by far the best song on this album. It features Sean Kingston, who delivers a nice verse. Perfect for an anniversary. 5/5
Piece of your heart- WOW, very different for Bedingfield. It isn’t really a feel good tune (like most of this album), but hey, life would be boring if people didn’t take chances. A solid tune. 4/5
Soulmate- The second best on this album. I love the mix of piano and guitar, and Natasha really delivered a lot of emotion in this song! 5/5
Say It Again- A nice song, but yet it gets kind of annoying after a few times, and I don’t expect this song to go anywhere far. 3/5
Angel- A great song to dance to, with great lyrics, and an excellent beat. 5/5
Backyard- Probably the weakest song off the whole album, but buy it to support Bedingfield. 2/5
Freckles- Very creative, really, that is all I have to say about this song. 4/5
Who Knows?- OK song, but I like how Bedingfield tried a classical feel for this one, and pretty solid tune. 3/5
Pirate Bones- The worst song on the entire album! 1/5
Not Givin’ Up- A nice dance track, and I love the beat. I love really how Natasha tried some new stuff on here. 4/5
Unwritten (Stripped Acoustic Version)- Very beautiful, but not as good as the original. Now THAT’S a classic. 4/5
Videos- All beautiful, and worth the money!
Natasha Bedngfield is BACK, and she proves it by giving us a really good feel good album. Pop this album in the cd player, if you feel sad, alone, depressed, or if you just need some cheering up.
