Best Singer Songwriter this Decade.

by Chicago Music Fan

Malcolm Palmer is the hip hop generation's Bob Dylan. A prolific and award-winning songwriter, Malcolm Palmer continues to reinvent himself with every album.

On "between the womb and the tomb" Palmer manages to point a scatologically eloquent lyrical finger at a corrupt and morally bankrupt system, while also sounding a rallying call for unity and positivity, sometimes in the same breath. Above and below it all, the album stands as a testament to the power of music.

It's not enough for Malcolm to tear down our old and decrepit house with a sledge hammer, he also offers a wrench to put it back together, better than it was before.

Tightest album I've heard in a long time

Malcolm's lyrics are simply phenomenal. His combination of rap-styled verse delivery, tight, rhythmic acoustic guitar work, harmonized guitar solos in the background, tight bass lines, interesting song structures, solid chorus melodies....Simply put, this album became instantly addictive. With each listen you'll pick up a new couplet or verse that blows you away, whether through diction or delivery, or both. This has been the most pleasant surprise I've come across in years. Thanks Malcolm!
