Album Review

Though technically a compilation of previously released singles, Nothing New sounds more like a cohesive full-length album than an odds 'n' sods collection. While later efforts would incorporate more ambitious instrumentation, "New" is a straight-ahead set of guitar-heavy rockers, drawing equally from mod, punk and pop. Songs like "Waffle House" and "1 in 10" are as polished as they come, but still sound as if they originated straight from the garage. Strong work from a band that rarely faltered.

High School

Chisel reminds me up life before sex in a cold basement in Michigan...oh how those days are gone.

This is a Great Album.

I first got this album on CD about 3 years ago when my brother gave it to me, It's a Great album. Ted Leo has an interesting voice which I really like, a good example of this is in "your Star is Killing Me" which is my favorite song. If you won't buy the album I suggest you buy "Your Star is Killing Me".
