Album Review
Fronted by Andy LeMaster (who has worked with Bright Eyes) and featuring members of Azure Ray, it would seem that Now It's Overhead is full of potential. They draw from a vast array of influences and produce a sound similar to the Cure, My Bloody Valentine, Depeche Mode, and Spiritualized. LeMaster has a unique voice that will calm listeners and that works well with the music, which is breathy, full, and yet retains its ability to be airy as well. Now It's Overhead definitely provides a unique atmosphere with their approach to the notion of space rock. Occasionally the material runs together, making it hard to find highlights on this, but such tracks as "Hold Your Spin" provide some of the fun, jazzy get-up that one may not expect on a Saddle Creek record. A lot of this is unexpected from a Saddle Creek band, but record labels, just like bands, hate to be pigeonholed, and Now It's Overhead is a breakthrough for this label.

Good Stuff
This is the album that got me hooked. The audio is a little rougher sounding than the newer recordings, but worth every cent I paid for it. I highly recommend it along with all other albums by the band
It's that good in my opinion.
This was and in many ways still is one of my favorite Saddle Creek albums. I find it very chilling and moving. I never was able to describe music like some people but how can I describe the emotions that this music brings to the surface. Life is a tangle of memories and feelings and something about this record brings back my childhood as well as grounds in the present time. Dumb description I know, but that how I feel about it.
