bumps up for peachcake

Yeah, Peachcake performances are a treat but it much more than that. Each song is carefully crafted with a strong danceable upbeat, well, beat. If you listen carefully there are many small double entendres and extra funny bits in there songs. Under the drum loops and beeps, the songs have more depth than most artists today. Stop- This song is one of the most uplifting songs I know, you can't help but smile. It's postive and quirky and everyone's favorite. It's one of the first songs I listened to, and instantly knew this would be a good band. Superman- The most overlooked song of the cd. At first you might find it a little annoying, but it grows on you. The vocals and the instumentals balance out, unlike most electronic songs. Also the tones in the songs vary, it's like many different ingredients to make a delcious cake of a song. Overall, it's good song to relax to, nod along, or turn up when your driving in your car. I would say it's come to be my favorite. Peachcake will be the next big thing, if they can stick it through, I promise you. !!! Though I'm more partial to Peachake, Less Pain Forever is an amazing band also. The only thing there share in common is the dancabilityness, yes that's not a word. They have a good retro fifties feel to it, especially Ecuador.

Amazing live show

I saw Peackcake for the first time just two days ago, going to see Karate High School. And didn't particularily like the performance. But I saw them again yesterday and after a large game of duck-duck-goose It became a lot more fun. The music is really just fun and crazy, but until you've seen them perform live, you haven't seen anything.

Peachcake: as tasty as the band name

I discovered this band when looking to buy tickets to Hellogoodbye, and as they are touring together i decided to look into them a bit more. What I found on their latest release was fantasticly similiar to Hellogoodbye, with a few twists. If you like Hellogoodbye, there can be no question: grab this album, you will enjoy it. If you're not familiar with Hellogoodbye, imagine what would happen if you gave Ryan Adams (or your favorite lyricist) a lot of Ritalin and a synthesizer. upbeat, well written (catchy at worst) powerpop, and that's what we have here. The album starts off well, with a catchy Throw Yer Babies remeniscient of the Shins (guitar and lyric driven with meandering lyrics/vocals), and Silver Dollar, which seems to throw a glance at bands such as The Blow and the Dirty Projecters. Ecquader highlights the vocalist, who is alternating between anthemic chorus and dainty verses. Quantum Leap shows that the guitarist knows what he's doing. But then the album kicks it up a notch. the ridiculously titled sixth track is amazing, showing a brilliant mastery of whichever beat machine and computer the band is using, as well as stunning us with twin lead vocalists. I was dancing to this song in my head through the rest of the album, but upon further listening was not let down. I'd say pick it up: you won't find anything groundbreaking, but you will find something you can't do without
