great band from the shepherdstown folk revival scene
i saw this band play at a bar in shepherdstown, wva and they blew my mind. The songs are soulful, gritty, and moving, sung with a bustling urgency and impassioned desperation. They sound like a countrier version of the band and those songs robbie robertson seemed to harvest out of the deep recesses of the southern earth. Some of these songs are truly timless. The Fox Hunt haven't received any significant recognition yet, but give them a shot and you won't be disappointed. Great band, tell your friends
Great Songs, Great Performers
Just saw this band for the first time today at the WDVX Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, TN. Would have bought the album on the spot, but the band sold all their copies in a heartbeat after the show. I guess that tells you how good they are--perfect if you love bluegrass with a little edge to it.
A must have
A great album from a great band. This CD didn't come out of my car all summer.
