Album Review
The title is revelatory, considering that this album by Genuine revels in mid-tempo ambient groove music, expansive in atmosphere but locked into an assortment of stellar trip-hop drum programs and basslines. Zippel even dips into echo-chamber techno for one track, "Pulse Dub," though most of the highlights come with beat-heavy workouts like "Say Mutabor," "Downtown," and "Cocoon."

Nu Ambient Grove 2
"Nu Ambient Grooves 2" from 'Chris Zippel' aka 'Genuine' continues to show us his exceptional skills and visions in the feild of chillout, sweet beats, and indeed "Nu Ambient Grooves". Creating his own style which keeps him cruising with the rest of the best, he manages to find a Nu approuch from his first effort 'Nu Grooves 1' which itself is nothing to pass by if you dont' already own it. "Highly reccommended"! Here on 'Nu Grooves 2' Zippel sounds like he completely understands what he wants to do and where he's going. Not a bad track on either disc, both are very adictive to listen to and not easy to tire of. Zippel shows us a new world not yet ventured in chillout music. He has immerged as one of the best producers of the new millenium and, after a small haitus has just released his latest effort 'Horizons', again taking the listener to the next level where others will look to follow. If you are a fan of chillout, dub, breakbeat, and dance music, you need not worry rather 'Nu Ambient Grooves 2' is going to be what your looking for. More than worthy and easily worth your $, it's highly reccommended as is his complete catalog. Nothing short of cooler than cool! A. Taylor
