Upon El Gran Combo's 20th anniversary, the orchestra released another of its most successful albums. "Aniversario" is Tommy Sanchez's salute to the band's two-decade durability at the time; "Gayito Sabater" is one of the band's most remembered tunes, as is Perín Vazquez's "El Teléfono" (where there is an obvious take on Rubén Blades' Maestra Vida, Rovi

This is one of the era's best albums. This is a classic album that has timeless appeal. If you're a NYC Latin who frequented the club scene in the early 80s and Salsa was your groove, you were dancing to this album. Ruben Blades, Hector Lavoe and El Gran Combo are the embodiment of Latin music in the late 70s and early 80s. That’s when stereos were stereos and Pioneer, Marantz. Technique Turn Tables, and booming speakers were the thing. And let’s not forget the house parties… Run Joe, Run Joe…

thank u itunes, it's about time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been asking for years for you to catch up on Puerto rico's finest salsa group.. They still have many more albums but I'll definetly take this for now

After forty five plus sensational years, this album stands as one of El Gran Combo's greatest achievements. Easily one of the best salsa albums ever. Every song is a jam. Just listen to Gota de Lluvia: four minutes of pure bliss.
