What a find! Who is this guy???
I must admit, I never heard of Andrew Shapiro before, but I got an email from the label about this new solo piano release and so I took a chance. I've never heard anything like this before...it's classical but not classical, ambient but not ambient. Kind of pop, but not really. I guess it's sort of like film music or something...I don't really understand it but it's SO beautiful. My daughter and I love it!!! So relaxing and yet keeps me on my toes. At the very least, buy the song called "Mint Green." It's just about perfect :) -Peter F. Richmond, VA
Not only beautiful and warm
This music is not only beautiful and warm, but interesting and exciting. You can play it behind cocktails, put in on in place of a post coital cigarette, or sit down on the couch and enjoy it with your full attention. It is organic and alive, like one might imagine the sound of Keith Jarrett playing Philip Glass.
Wow, I enjoy this...fantastic!
Enjoyed listening to this album on my drive last weekend-- the perfect backdrop to a very white wintery roadtrip!
